  • Solidworks - Dimples On A Sphere - 09-01-2009
    Is there any quick way of modelling dimples on a sphere as attached. You obviously cant just model one then do a circular pattern then pattern that as each dimple needs to be cut at an angle towards the centre of the sphere. Tried the wrap feature but that doesn't seem to work with spheres. Any ideas? PLEASE!

  • Grades? - 09-01-2009
    I'm in 10th grade now and am really interested in ID. My grades aren't amazing, but I'm passing all my classes, and have only one or two C's. I wanted to know, from people already in college, if you really need outstanding grades in high school to get into a good ID school.

    Please don't just say do your best in school, I want to know if you really need good grades.

    Hi, all designers!

    My name is Steve, and continueing from my last topic, I'm making this topic to put in all my sketches and renders.

    This was a sketch/render thing, I did the sketch during school today using black ballpoint. Then at home, I quickly rendered it with marker, and a little detail with prisma pencil crayons.

    Overall, the top (the black and pink) are just filler, and the red one too. Also, it was my first time using marker on printer paper, and I didn't really like the result, because it got really soaked.

    expect some more, probably one render a day, and maybe a few sketches.
